Martin Scorsese’s Bob Dylan film Rolling Thunder Revue is a masterful reconstruction of facts and fiction

“I don’t have a clue,” he says. “It’s about nothing. It happened so long ago, I wasn’t even born.” Bob Dylan, talking about a series of concerts he gave at the end of 1975, is trying to add flavour to the Netflix documentary directed by Martin Scorsese, a project which appears to have made a partly fictional reconstruction of the notorious tour called Rolling Thunder Revue.

Norman Fucking Rockwell! is Lana Del Rey’s dark masterpiece

Lana Del Reys fifth album is her most gloomy so far. It is her most personal, dark, vulnerable and intimate album. Lots of lyrics, lots of piano and almost all of the songs are ballads. Despite a few languid beats, the music is mainly played in a minor key and, even more so than on her previous albums, she sings from a high to low voice to emphasise emotion and meaning. On a recent press photo the songstress looks as if she is having a lot of fun, smiling and wearing a striking winged eyeliner – but all is not what it seems.
